I read this post a while back ostensibly about some new tool named “gossip. It really got to me. If I understand correctly, when he makes a commit he gets
- a message from Jabber
- a message from twitter
- an email
- a note in Campfire
- and possibly something in Trac
This really sounds like software-development-by-cool-web-technology-of-the-month. Does anyone really need all those notifications? Does anyone really even need any notification that a checkin occurred?
